We are happy to welcome you to the 5th International Conference on Fish Telemetry in Arendal, Norway,
on the 24th-28th of June 2019.

We would like to invite our fellow telemetry enthusiasts to the International Conference of Fish Telemetry 2019 in Arendal, Norway. Located at the waterfront on the island of Hisøya just outside Arendal, the Flødevigen Marine Research Station (Institute of Marine Research) has maintained its role as a center for coastal research for more than 130 years. Scientists at Flødevigen began using telemetry as a tool to study fish ecology in the early 2000s, and have applied telemetry to investigate a range of questions in biology, for instance by quantifying impacts of protected areas, selective harvesting and temperature change on coastal fish. Recent work focus particularly on understanding the basis for individual variation in fish behaviour and responses to environmental change. The conference will take place in Arendal Culture Hall located in the city centre, a mere 3 minute walk from the conference hotel, Clarion Hotel Tyholmen, beautifully placed at the city’s waterfront.

Welcome all!
